Since conception in 2022, AfroVFX started its activities in Abidjan, the “perle des lagunes’ of Côte d’Ivoire(West Africa) AfroVFX has benefited from the support of Orange Digital Center (where the training classes are hosted) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, since the very first cohort Across Africa, Orange Digital Center, provides free and inclusive resources supporting artists, creators and local start-ups and general projects that use digital technology.

AfroVFX is a remarkable initiative with the mission to bring free VFX and 3D Animation training, and career opportunities to the African continent, and operates primarily from Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

AFRO VFX is on a mission to offer professional 3D and VFX training in Africa. The vision is to nurture and empower a flourishing ecosystem of world-class talent in Africa. We do not just provide free training to uplift the skills of junior artists; we are building a community of aspiring VFX artists and animators who are passionate about their craft. This initiative is a giant leap towards making Africa a hub for VFX and animation, and it's open to anyone who shares the dream of developing a career in this fascinating field.

I started my relationship with AfroVFX, quite simply, by giving a master class, but I didn't expect such an adventure, until going to Ivory Coast. What I remember from the young people at AfroVFX is their incredible motivation. They fully deserve everything that happens to them.

We all want to see African content worthy of international blockbusters. It is not a dream but a reality, given the advances and surprises that our creators provide us. This is why we have been delighted to support this project from the start and create employment opportunities for the young people who will benefit from this exciting program.

It is very important to give back to others. I have always dreamed of getting involved with those moving and shaping things in Africa, but I never had any concrete opportunities. AfroVFX is a fantastic opportunity to open the doors to VFX in Africa and I am proud to be involved as an instructor since the first cohort.
